Analyze how you’ve adapted to the demands of this course over the past week, and evaluate one strength and one challenge you anticipate as we progress, justifying your insights with personal examples.

Response: Over the course of this week I have gotten better at understanding what we are doing. I have been participating more in class than I have in other years, so I think I am making good progress. I think I am good at doing and understanding the reading work we have done so far, I was able to understand the stories we read and I think I did good on the PowerPoint yesterday. I do think I need to work on analyzing text more though. I tend  to not notice certain details and tidbits of stories and their meanings, like when we were reading the Navajo creation story I wasn't fully understanding it. Overall I think I need to work on where I put my attention in a piece of literature.

Summary: Today we took a test on Origin Myths and read a new story for it.

Reflection: This week I have gotten a better grasp/idea of what this class will look like. I have become more confident in my class work and understanding and I hope to get better as the year continues.
