Response: I had a very fun winter break and I did a lot. Me and my family spent the better bit of a week road tripping up to Illinois to visit my family up there. On the way we stayed in Tennessee for a while and got to see a show at the Opry stage and then on the way back we also visited my Aunt in Kentucky. I also spent a lot of the break playing video games and spending time with some of my friends.
Summary: Worked on a writable assignment about our resolutions.
Reflection: This writable assignment really had me reflect on what I wanted out of this year. This really made me think through how I would accomplish my goals in the new year.
Writable assignment: My first goal for the new year is to finish the year with all As. This goal is important for my academic future as it will look good for transcripts and raise my personal pride. To do this I will study for my tests and work diligently on my classwork. I will have this done by the end of the school year when grades are finalized. My second goal for the year is to get out of the house more. This goal is important because it helps me mentally and physically become more active and present in the world. I will do this by scheduling hikes and walks with my friends ever other week or so as I can, especially over summer break. I hope to have enjoyed spending time outside and by the end of the year spend on average maybe two or three hours a week outside. My third goal for 2026 is to be more purposeful in my actions. If I become more aware I can focus better and improve my efficiency and fix mistakes and slipups. I will do this by setting specific time in my day to slow down and think about what I am doing, what I have done and what I will do in the day. I don't really have a way to track progress but hopefully I will find myself more productive and aware of my actions. My last goal for 2026 is to procrastinate less. Less procrastination will lead to being more efficent in my classes and overall less stress on my assignments. I will do this by setting timers for myself afterschool and committing to working on my homework without looking at my phone.
