iWhat strategies have you and your group used to ensure that all members are actively contributing to group assignments? Explain how you communicate, divide responsibilities, and hold each other accountable throughout the process.

 Response: Our group has been able to ensure everyone is contributing equally by splitting up the work into separate parts for each group member to cover. We will work together to discuss universal things we need to agree on while listening to each other's ideas. Once that is figured out we will divide all of the work into equal parts and designate each person to each section then getting together after we are done to share what we got.

Summary: Worked on resource gathering.

Reflection: I struggled in the beginning to really grasp the resources but luckily I was able to get into a groove later into class.

 Response: When I have a lot going on I find time to enjoy my day in the small transitions of time like in the mornings or before bed and such. One thing I do to enjoy my everyday is by treasuring the time I get with my friends, they are a main source of joy, especially during school whenever I see them. Second I take a long shower every day, I find that after Ive been really stressed a good shower at the end of the day always makes me feel better. Lastly, I listen to music whenever I can, I find it really relaxing and makes me feel more in control of my life. Summary: We finished our Ambush paragraph. Reflection: I thought this was a really challenging practice. I was able to grow my skills at argumentative writing and taking a more clear stance on things.

In “I, Too,” the speaker expresses pride in his identity and his rightful place in America. Reflect on your own life: What aspect of your cultural identity are you most proud of, and why?

 Response: I am culturally queer and my favorite part of being queer is probably how connected our community is. As the LGBTQIA+ community has been a pretty repressed minority for a long time we have had to create our own community and connection. I have met so many lovely queer people that I have been able to meet and relate to. A lot of my very close friends are also queer and we have formed a small community within lakeside that really makes the world feel a lot more safe and kind. Summary: We worked on Dissect the We worksheet. Reflection: I found the work a bit difficult which honestly really helped me. The pager had me really thinking about the poem more thoughtfully than before.

Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier?

 Response: Once when I was talking to my dad about the new Superman movie. He had talked about wanting to watch other DC movies like The Batman 2022 together. I had been thinking of watching it and really was looking forward to it. I didn't really want to watch it with him because he had talked and complained through the Superman movie while I was trying to enjoy it. I knew if I said I didn't want to watch it with me he'd be upset and complain more. So I decided just to brush it off and pretend I wasn't super interested in it in hopes he'd drop it. Just ending the conversation was probably a good move because I didn't want to get him upset but I also wasnt eager to watch The Batman with him so it did help de-escalate a potential argument. Summary: We finished reading The Life You Save May Be Your Own. Reflection: I found the story really interesting and the video we watched, aside from the abelism, was pretty helpful to visualize the story I guess.
